Dear Parent(s):
We look forward to a new year and some new changes on our site that we are very excited about. To begin, we are implementing structured Professional Development time for our staff that will be called Common Learning Time. Students will be dismissed from school each Tuesday at 1:55 PM. This will begin on Tuesday August 29th, which is also the first day of school. We will provide bus transportation in conjunction with the elementary bus routes. We also plan to provide after school tutorials, activities and enrichment classes on those Tuesdays.
Our bell schedule has been adjusted slightly. The first bell will ring at 8:25 AM and students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM daily (except Tuesdays). We will also have a silent reading time 4 days per week in the mornings.
We have recently added four new members to our teaching staff. We have
hired Nick Giorgi in Physical Education, Danielle Zanzarov in Math and
Science, Erin Thomas in Special Education and Linda Quierolo in Math. We
look forward to what they will add to our already fantastic team.
