Fire
The school fire alarm will sound. All students will leave the classroom or instructional areas and go to designated safety zones. If students are at recess or lunch they are to go to designated safety zones on the field. (Teachers are to go to the field and meet with their First Period class.) Doors and windows are to be closed. A class roster and emergency pack taken. Three long bells signal all clear.
No alarm will sound. The adult in charge is to give the instruction Duck and Cover. Everyone should immediately assume the duck, cover and hold position (head tucked, with face covered by arms and hands) under their desks, with backs to the windows.
Use this for chemical spills, falling
aircraft, drive by shooting, civil disturbance, unsafe condition exists, etc.
Note: Three
long bells mean all clear, not a single bell.
