GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

HJH PTO has five (5) board officer positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Volunteer Coordinator).  We recently developed a new set of goals. Besides officer positions, the PTO depends on the parents of HJH students to become actively involved.  All families have the opportunity to make a difference for their children.  All parents are eligible to attend PTO meetings, vote on issues and become board members.  Please consider joining PTO!

How can you help?  By joining AND participating in the HJH PTO.  Together, we can AND DO make a difference.

The HJH PTO supports many programs that directly impact your child.  Last school year, the HJH PTO supported many programs and services through fundraising:

Last year, the HJH PTO raised approximately $45,009.48 (gross) as follows:

·         $31,762.81 from the Magazine Sales fundraiser

·         $7,580.82 from EScrip

·         $3,197.00 from the See’s Candy fundraiser

·         $2,313.00 from the $1.00/week $40.00/year Program

·         $155.85 from Sports Concession Stand Sales

These funds were used to proudly support the following programs and services for our students and staff at HJH:

·         $9,162 to support ASB events for extra-curricular activities, student dances, yearbook activities and student assemblies;

·         $2,500 to support student awards program;

·         $2,100 to support $100.00 per teacher classroom allowance;

·         $3,449 to purchase desks and stools for Science Classroom/Lab;

·         $1,400 to support the 8th Grade Academic Pentathlon;

·         $1,100 to support the 8th Grade Graduation Breakfast/Movie;

·         $1,100 to support the 8th Grade Graduation Dance;

·         $1,100 to support the 7th Grade Year-End Pool Party/BBQ;

·         $2,100 to purchase beginning of the year Student Planners;

·         $4,000 to sustain music program at HJH;

·         $500 to support Multi-Cultural school events

·         $5,622.02 to purchase a new sound system for HJH

·         Gifts to award students who excel in fundraising endeavors (including an outing to a S.F. Giants Game)

In addition, HJH PTO supports all Athletic programs at HJH, provides Teacher Appreciation Luncheons in the Fall and Spring; and supports the administration with nominal funding requests.
